More Little People

A and I went to go see a movie this preevening, specifically the Hobbit. Yes, again. :D The first time through that movie was marvelous. It was stunning, beautiful, amazing, awesome. The second time it was hilarious. There was a gal sitting in the row beneath me (in the 3d seats, of course) who was giggling like a maniac the entire time. I would've smacked her cept I was doing the same thing. There were so many bits there were just freaking hilarious; Martin Freeman as Bilbo, for example. His entire first scene with Gandalf had me in stitches because of how expressive and delightfully awkward Freeman made the character. I loved it. And then there were all the bits in the battle scenes that looked just so painful as to be funny. It was a bunch of little things.

For the record, the Hobbit was better in 2D. The actions scenes are easier to track and your eyes won't get nearly as sore. I was constantly aware of the gaps around my 3D glasses the whole time too, which just distracted me every 5 minutes.

Also, I say again: Cate Blanchett is gorgeous. That is all.

No, not all: the soundtrack is beautiful too.

For some bizarre reason, through the entire movie I wanted to cut. It made no sense because I was having the time of my life and endorphins were exploding in my head, but I kept envisioning deep slashes across my upper arms. It was strange, cause I very seldom get out of the blue triggers like that.
