Random note: 1/4 cup of honey roasted peanuts, 3 Oreos, and 5 peeps all contain 160 calories.
Dad and Stepmom went grocery shopping on Saturday. Twice, actually, but I'll get to that later. Dad is finally starting to take my vegetarian-ness seriously (we had a heart-to-heart chat and everything; it was a very Hallmark-esque moment) and they picked me up a few things.
Saturday was a bit of a fucked up day. C3 (the 10 year old) has a lot of issues, and she's a handful at the best of times, but Saturday afternoon I had to call the parents home from shopping because she kept trying to hurt herself. She tried to jump out of her second-story window, run away out the side door, and break glass dishes over her head. I had to physically hold her down to keep her out of the knife drawer. She's always been over dramatic, but this was the first time she's ever seriously tried to do anything that could, you know, kill her. Dad was pissed, Stepmom was crying, C2 was being an ass because he'd been fighting with C3 all morning, C4 was mad about having to take a nap, and C5 was just freaking out at all the tension and kept trying to crawl out of his high chair. Gods it was a long afternoon. Since my parents are fucking idiots they didn't take any of it seriously and Dad and I ended up screeching at each other over it.
The whole thing didn't really hit me until after everyone had calmed down, when I was watching Baby and doing dishes. I took him into the bathroom and just freaked out. I cried. It was a little embarrassing. But he just toddled over and kept whacking me in the face, trying to wipe away my tears (I think) while saying "bye bye." That was an emotional time.
After that I went over to clean Gramma's house, pretending nothing was wrong, which was kind of hell. But for once Gramma wasn't being anal about every little detail and yelling about everything, so I guess it wasn't too bad.
When I got home C3 and I had some sister time to talk shit over, and then we watched kids while the parents went back into town. (Things went much more smoothly the second time around).
Any way, C3 got some snacks for her field trip today and I got a buttload of fruit.
7 not-quite-ripe bananas, 9 humongous oranges, and ten apples. Also veggie shots and veggie burgers. These particular ones were sun-dried tomato basil, which I don't like, but I think the other varieties could be good. :) 100 calories per 2 or so ounce patty. Small but surprisingly filling.
Good Shots: one serving of fruits and vegetables per bottle, and only 45 calories. They're actually really good! :D
Sunday was Mother's Day, obviously. C2 and I went over to see Mom for a bit and had brunch. When she brought us home we were on baby duty all afternoon to give Stepmom a day off. I was in the kitchen for most of it. Good, because I finished dishes and made smoothies for my breakfasts, but bad because I snacked on potato chips all afternoon. I gained almost four pounds between Friday morning and this morning. :/ *sob* lol. No, actually it isn't bothering me that much. I knew that I'd be eating a lot this weekend, and realistically four pounds is not that much. I think I can lose it all again by this Friday, especially since most of it is just
Tonight I'll be back at Mom's house, trying to finish as much homework as I possibly can. (About 15 assignments to do by Friday in Math, English, Environmental Science, Business Law, and Art.) sigh. Yay procrastination!
I'm actually in a really good mood today. Dunno if it's cause I took my pills late or because I spread my 200 calorie breakfast over a two hour period, but I feel good! :)
If the need to procrastinate rears it's ugly head again I'll ramble on some more later. Have a lovely afternoon dearies. <3
Edit: Oh! I forgot to say: Sunday Mom saidI Ineed to go shopping again (cause my pants were too big) and Saturday Gramma asked if I'd lost weight. I had been feeling pretty frumpythat day after cleaning and wearing oversized clothes and just blah, so that was an awesome mood booster. :)
