Requiem For a Dream

I've always found it neat that blue eyes, which are so prevalent in the US, are actually a mutation. Roughly 6-7000 years ago a common ancestor passed the altered gene on to their children. Interestingly enough, blue eyes are becoming less common; 58% of Caucasians born in the US between 1899 and 1905 had blue eyes, while only 34% of Caucasians born between 1936 and 1951 had blue eyes.

I dunno. I just found that interesting. :)
